The saddle is a unique example of material culture, which was of great importance in the life of nomads from ancient times to the present day. In addition to the economic significance of the saddle, there is also a special ritual meaning. In the past, before the release of an improved type of fiery weapon, a saddle adapted for the combat actions of horsemen, had a special place in the nomadic society. Therefore, due to the need for nomadic life and military campaigns, saddle equipment was constantly improved. The main condition was the comfort of the saddle, mainly on the horse.
The creation of saddles is possible only by masters from among the people. Masters made saddle from wood, leather, felt, cast stirrups from bronze, gilded gold, silver and decorated with bone on iron, installed eyes from a precious stone. The creation of a saddle and its use in everyday life are closely related to the socio-economic relations of the Kazakh people.
