All traditions associated with a newborn baby have their own uniqueness and meaning. Shildekhana is one of the first children's holiday, which is held in honor of a newborn baby. Having delivered the good news to everyone, relatives and friends of the family gathered in the house where a baby was born. Guests who come to shildehana wish “may the rope be strong” and throw sprinkles. Elderly people gave blessings and made wishes. The birth of a baby is one of the rituals of the life cycle. In traditional circles, the first forty days of the “transition period” from the birth of a child to the age of forty are considered dangerous. They do not cut “nails” or “belly hair” until fourty days. In honor of a baby who survives forty days is organized holiday.” When a a baby is washed, things such as a silver ring, a silver bracelet are placed at the bottom of the bathing bowl and 40 spoons of clean water are poured. In the Kazakh concept, silver is a sign of fidelity; water filled with silver is considered the purest water and demons do not penetrate into it.
