Throat singing

Throat singing is a tradition of performing a piece of music individually or in a group, using the features of several parts of the throat. This tradition is found mainly among the peoples of Siberia, among the inhabitants living around the Altai and Tibetan mountains. That is, along with the compositional and melodic levels of singing, it shows the commonality of the sound production system based on the worldview of Turkic-Mongolian peoples. Throat singing is an ancient art, originated thousands years ago, when people lived in harmony with nature. While singing, one can produce several sounds at the same time, using the sound deviations of the throat and pharynx. There are five types of such singing in the world. They are: sygyt, kargyraa, homey, borbannadyr, ezengiler. Basically only Yakutia is widely developed. Each of them has its own pitch and timbral colouring.
