The Director of the National Museum of Hungary, Gábor Zsigmond, paid an official visit to the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where he was introduced to the museum’s exhibitions. A guided tour was organized for the guest, covering historical and cultural heritage sections, archaeological artifacts, and unique exhibition halls.
During the meeting, the Director of the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Berik Abdygaliuly, and Gábor Zsigmond discussed cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries. The parties also highlighted the historical ties between the Kazakh and Hungarian peoples, emphasizing the significant role of the Saka, Sarmatian, Hun, and Kipchak tribes in their shared cultural heritage.
They also discussed plans to organize an international exhibition in Hungary in the coming years dedicated to the Saka and Sarmatian periods. The project aims to promote shared historical heritage and strengthen scientific and cultural ties between the two countries.
In turn, Gábor Zsigmond highly praised the museum’s extensive exhibitions and noted the strong interest of Kazakhstani people in history and cultural heritage. At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed their commitment to further cooperation.
