The «Paleokids», «Young Archaeologist», and «Mergen» clubs have started their activities

The National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan has launched educational clubs for children and teenagers: «Paleokids», «Young Archaeologist», and «Mergen».

Introductory sessions have been organized, allowing participants to become familiar with the content and focus areas of the programs. This initiative expands the museum’s educational space and provides children with new opportunities to explore science and culture through hands-on experience.

Within the «Paleokids» club, led by Ruslan Duvanbekov, PhD, a leading researcher of the Kazakhstan History Department, children were introduced to the basics of paleontology and gained initial insights into Earth’s history and ancient life forms.

In the «Young Archaeologist» club, participants learned about the specifics of archaeology, methods of working with historical artifacts, and information about ancient civilizations in Kazakhstan. The session was conducted by Suleiman Tlekshiev, Senior Researcher of the Kazakhstan History Department at the National Museum.

In the traditional archery club «Mergen», participants were introduced to the fundamentals of national martial culture and were briefed on safety requirements. The club is led by Zhanai Kurmangali, a coach from the Republican Federation of Traditional Archery.

The classes are held in an interactive format and are aimed at fostering children’s scientific curiosity, as well as developing their research and creative skills. Additionally, these projects contribute to the effective organization of children’s leisure time and their comprehensive development.

This initiative strengthens cooperation between the museum and educational institutions, creating new cultural and educational opportunities for children. It represents an important step toward increasing young people’s interest in science, history, and national values.

We invite parents who wish to develop their children’s interests and organize their time effectively to enroll them in the National Museum’s clubs. For more information, please contact: 91-90-35, 91-90-36.
