A meeting with sybyzgy player Bauyrzhan Mukhametbaiuly was organized

As part of the Nauryznama decade dedicated to the широкое celebration of Nauryz, a series of planned cultural events continues.

A meeting was held with renowned sybyzgy player Bauyrzhan Mukhametbaiuly, an artist of the National Art Center «Halyk Kazynasy», which operates under the state concert organization Kazakhconcert.

The event, aimed at promoting national art, brought together museum visitors, art enthusiasts, and young people, who gained in-depth knowledge about the ancient musical heritage of the Kazakh people.

The moderator, Ardabi Mauletuly, introduced the guest and briefly spoke about the history and significance of the sybyzgy, one of the traditional Kazakh musical instruments. He noted that the instrument holds a special place in Kazakh musical culture and is closely connected with the spiritual world of the people, nature, and the nomadic way of life.

In turn, Bauyrzhan Mukhametbaiuly gave a detailed account of the origin, role, and distinctive features of the sybyzgy in traditional music. He emphasized that the instrument is mainly made from natural materials and that its sound reflects the breath of the vast Kazakh steppe and the voice of nature.

He also discussed the instrument’s performance capabilities and performed several folk pieces. The soft and soulful sound of the sybyzgy left a strong impression on the audience, once again highlighting the depth and beauty of traditional Kazakh music.

During the meeting, participants asked questions and engaged in an open discussion about the nuances of sybyzgy performance and the role of traditional music in modern society.

At the end of the event, Nazgul Kadrimbetova, head of the «Mädeni Mura» Research Institute, expressed gratitude to the guest on behalf of the participants and wished him success in promoting national art.

The event concluded with participants taking commemorative photos with the artist and leaving with a special spiritual mood inspired by the sounds of national music.
