At the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a cultural and educational event titled «Amal Holiday – a Symbol of Kindness and Unity» was held as part of the Nauryznama decade.
The meaningful festive gathering was attended by museum staff, honored guests, and representatives of the cultural sector, who together experienced the spirit of spring renewal.
During the event, the Director of the National Museum, Berik Abdygaliuly, sincerely congratulated the audience on the Amal holiday, noting that this day brings people closer, strengthens harmony and brotherhood, and represents an essential part of national traditions. In his speech, he emphasized that Amal is a profound spiritual value that promotes kindness, unites generations, and brings hearts closer together.
The celebration continued with an impressive concert program. The dance «Spring», conveying the gentle breath of the season, delighted the audience and created a joyful atmosphere.
This was followed by a theatrical performance presented by the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve «Bozok» and the Heraldic Research Center, artistically illustrating the significance of the korisu (traditional greeting ritual). During the performance, a traditional blessing (bata) was given, and the historical and cultural importance of the day as a symbol of renewal and revival was highlighted.
In addition, representatives of the International Center for the Rapprochement of Cultures under the auspices of UNESCO, the House of Friendship of the «Kogamdyk Kelisim» municipal institution under the Astana city administration, the ensemble of the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, artists of the State Dance Theater «Naz», and students of the Kazakh National University of Arts named after K. Bayseitova took part in the event, presenting beautiful songs and dances to the audience.
The Amal holiday is one of the ancient traditions that strengthens friendship, brotherhood, and mutual respect through the custom of greeting one another and exchanging well wishes. While it was once widely celebrated in the western regions of the country, today its significance is being revived, gaining nationwide recognition.
