The Secretary General of TURKSOY, Sultan Raev, paid a special visit to the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The distinguished guest was welcomed by the museum’s director, Berik Abdygaliuly, after which the parties held an official meeting.
During the meeting, the participants discussed in detail the promotion of the cultural heritage of the Turkic world and the development of international cooperation.
In particular, the organization of the international exhibition «The Oghuz Phenomenon: From the Great Steppe to Anatolia» was discussed. The opening of the exhibition is scheduled for April 7 at the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts in Istanbul.
In addition, the preparation of the catalogue «Jewels of the Turkic World» and its international presentation were discussed. It was noted that TURKSOY would consider providing support for this initiative.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to further strengthen cultural and humanitarian cooperation and to systematically implement joint projects.
The distinguished guest was also introduced to the rich culture, traditions, and art of the Kazakh people, and a guided tour of the National Museum halls was organized.
