The students acquired embroidery skills

Organized by the Department of Museum Pedagogy and Children’s Creativity, a master class titled «A Girl is Beautiful with Her Embroidery» was held within the framework of the «Shanyraq» project.

The purpose of the event was to introduce students to the techniques of embroidery and to explain its educational significance.

Ninth-grade students of Secondary School No. 116 of the Akimat of Astana took part in the event.

Art historian and junior researcher of the Art Studies Department of the National Museum, Nazerke Meiyrkyzy, delivered a presentation on the history, types, and significance of embroidery art, and highlighted the socio-cultural meaning of Kazakh ornaments.

Craft masters Almagul Mustafa and Altyn Madenkyzy from the Craft Center conducted a practical workshop and spoke about the role of embroidery in girls’ upbringing.

The master class increased students’ interest in national art and left a lasting impression.
