In Astana, representatives of the professional cultural community discussed the new draft of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The meeting was held in the format of a broad public dialogue. It was attended by Vice Minister of Culture and Information Aibek Sydykov, heads and specialists of state institutions in the fields of culture, arts, archives, and education, as well as the Director of the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Berik Abdigaliuly.
During the meeting, the key principles of the proposed constitutional amendments were reviewed, focusing on the protection of citizens’ rights and freedoms, the preservation of historical and cultural heritage, and the strengthening of national identity and spiritual values. In the context of constitutional renewal, particular emphasis was placed on the role of culture and the humanities in shaping public consciousness and enhancing civic responsibility.
At the conclusion of the meeting, participants unanimously supported the new draft of the Constitution, noting that it reflects public demand and carries strategic significance for the country’s long-term development.
