A museum lecture-concert titled «Kazakh national musical instruments» was held

At the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, within the framework of the «Dana» project organized by the Department of Museum Pedagogy and Children’s Creativity, a museum lecture-concert entitled «Kazakh National Musical Instruments» was held.

The purpose of the event was to instill national values in participants, promote museum exhibits, increase interest in national musical instruments, and foster respect for them.

The lecture-concert featured the participation of the Joshy Qazaq National Group, consisting of staff members of the Astana City Akimat’s Museum of Art, who presented a unique style skillfully combining national melodies with modern rhythms.

During the event, the performers explained the history of origin, timbre characteristics, manufacturing features, and usage of various musical instruments, while actively engaging with the audience.

The event also highlighted the name of Bolat Sarybayev, who made a significant contribution to the revival of forgotten traditional musical instruments, their wide promotion, and the development of Kazakh musical art.

Visitors had the opportunity to view an exhibition in the atrium featuring a number of artifacts from the Bolat Sarybayev collection preserved in the holdings of the National Museum of the RK.
