The National Museum and a German museum have established a partnership

Berik Abdigaliuly, Director of the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, paid an official visit to the Chemnitz State Museum of Archaeology located in Saxony, Germany. During the visit, a meeting was held with the museum’s director, Sabine Wolfram, resulting in the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the two museums.

As part of the bilateral cooperation, a joint scientific and practical conference dedicated to the archaeology of Kazakhstan is planned for 2026. In 2027, the organization of a large-scale exhibition focused on the archaeology of RK is envisaged.

The museum’s exhibition features artifacts covering 300,000 years of the history of the Saxony region. In 2025, the city of Chemnitz was designated as the European Capital of Culture.
