A scientific conference titled «European Huns: The Latest Results of Field Archaeology» was held at the National Museum of Hungary.
The conference brought together representatives and scholars from leading museums and research institutes of Hungary, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Mongolia. Participants presented reports on the results of field archaeological and archaeogenetic research conducted in recent years.
In addition, the 4th meeting of coordinators of the TURKSOY Museums Association was held in Budapest with the participation of TURKSOY Secretary General S. Raev. The seminar of coordinators from the member countries of the TURKSOY Museums Association serves as a permanent international platform for professional dialogue and the exchange of experience in the museum sector.
The meeting discussed preparations for the 5th meeting of heads of museums of the Turkic world, scheduled to take place in 2026 in Andijan, the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World, as well as the implementation of joint scientific projects and a range of events within the framework of the program «Andijan – Cultural Capital of the Turkic World 2026».
It was also decided to establish the TURKSOY Museums Association Award, aimed at promoting the development of the museum sector of the Turkic world. During the meeting, special certificates were presented to museums that joined the association as members.
