Organized by the Department of Museum Pedagogy and Children’s Creativity, a creative workshop titled «Winter Fairy Tale» was held as part of the «Planet of Handicrafts» сlub.

Children with special educational needs from the Zhansaya Social Service Center in Astana took part in the workshop.

The aim of the session was to develop children’s creative abilities, expand their imagination, introduce them to various techniques and methods of visual arts, and enhance fine motor skills.

During the workshop, participants learned unique ways of depicting a fairy-tale winter landscape. Using pre-prepared stencils and sponges, the children painted images of fir trees and snow. In addition, they applied a splattering technique with white paint using brushes to create the effect of softly falling snow. This creative activity sparked strong interest among the children and encouraged their active participation.

At the final stage of the session, the children complemented their artworks by attaching ready-made images of forest characters, completing the overall composition. Throughout the process, each child received the necessary support from adults, and a warm, friendly atmosphere was created. As a result, the children took home their creatively crafted artworks as memorable keepsakes.
